A young woman identified as Racheal has died on Sunday 28, 2025, under suspicious circumstances after visiting an upcoming musician, Og1savage
Police has launched an investigation into the incident, which has raised concerns over safety in social media-based relationships.
According to sources, Racheal met Og1savage on Instagram and they had been communicating for over a month before deciding to visit him at his residence on an island in Lagos.
Reports indicate that she was about to attend church when the musician invited her over. She left her tithe and prayer points with her mother before heading out.
Upon arriving at his residence, she requested a glass of water, which was allegedly poisoned.
After drinking it, she reportedly sensed that something had been added to the water and sent a text message to her sister.
In the message, she provided the address and name of the musician, expressing discomfort and concern over her safety.
Racheal, who was reportedly pregnant for her boyfriend, is believed to have visited Og1savage after he promised to give her a phone.
Shortly after consuming the drink, she began experiencing severe discomfort. Her sister, upon receiving the distress message, rushed to the location and found her in pain, naked, and wet. She was immediately taken to a hospital, where she was rejected before being admitted to a second facility. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Police have since arrested Og1savage in connection with the incident but he had denied any involvement in Racheal’s death.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
