The Presidency has laid to rest controversies surrounding the leadership tussle of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has it endorsed Victor Giadom as the constitutional Acting Chairman of the party, following the sack of the erstwhile Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiohmole.
Speaking through his twitter page, Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari, Alhaji Shehu Garba said, “The President has received very convincing advice on the position of the law as far as the situation in the party is concerned and has determined that the law is on the side of Victor Giadom as Acting National Chairman”.
Garba noted that because President Buhari would always act in accordance with the law, he would attend the virtual meeting Giadom called for tomorrow afternoon adding that governors and the leadership of the National Assembly would equally be in attendance.
Garba urged the media to stop promoting manufactured controversies and to not give any further room for mischievous interpretations of the law on the matter.
