President Muhammadu Buhari has mourned a former civilian governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, who died today.
Until his death, Musa was the National Chairman of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP).
Buhari, in his message to the Government of Kaduna State and the deceased family members and friends, said that the passing away of the politician would be sorely missed by all Nigerians, who have diligently followed his antecedents as a voice for the voiceless.
The President affirmed that the former governor of Kaduna State has left a bold footprint on Nigeria’s democracy adding, “his role in promoting good governance and development will always be remembered and appreciated by posterity”.
Buhari prayed that the almighty God would grant his soul eternal rest, and comfort his family, friends and associates.
In another development, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN), described the deceased as a radical left, who joined politics early, became Governor of old Kaduna State and left his mark. He added, “A clear example to all those in the left today that want to make a difference in governance”.
