President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness over the death of seven Military personnel of the ill-fated King Air B350i aircraft that crashed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Sunday, February 21 2021.
He said: “On behalf of the Federal Government, I extend heartfelt condolences to family members, friends and colleagues of those who died.
“I join the Nigerian Air Force, the military and all Nigerians, in mourning the unfortunate loss of our dedicated and courageous personnel, who died in the line of duty. I pray that God will comfort the bereaved families and the nation, and grant the souls of the departed peaceful rest”.
The military aircraft crashed after reporting an engine failure en route Minna on Sunday. The aircraft departed Abuja in the morning with 7 persons on board.
It was gathered that the officers involved in the crash are: Flt. Lt. Haruna Gazman, Flt. Lt. Piyo, Flg. Offr. Okpara, FS Olawumi, ACM Johnson, Sgt Oloka, and an unconfirmed passenger.
