President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Power from his cabinet.
The affected Ministers are Mohammed Sabo Nanono (Agriculture) and Mamman Saleh (Power).
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, announced this on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Abuja after the Federal Executive Council meeting.
He disclosed that the Minister of Environment, Mohammed Abubakar, has been redeployed to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, while the Minister of State for Works, Abubakar Aliyu, is to take over as Minister of Power.
The exercise, according to Adesina, will continue in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution.
The sack of the two ministers is coming two years and few days after they were inaugurated by the president in 2019 alongside 41 of their colleagues.
