Renowned Islamic scholar Sheikh Muhyideen Ajani Bello passed away at 84 following a brief illness.
The death of the popular cleric was confirmed on the Instagram page of his son, Katibi Abdul Basit Olanrewaju, who is popularly known as Aponle Anobi, where he shared the Sheikh’s picture with a tearful emoji.
Another source confirmed to PrimeStar News that the respected cleric succumbed to death after battling an illness for a few days adding, “Baba has been sick for some days. Even when we visited him a few days ago, we kept praying for his recovery. It is, however, the will of Almighty Allah.,
Confirming the death of the clergyman, a prominent Islamic preacher, Alhaji Akeugbagold expressed deep grief on his Facebook page.
He wrote, “Today is one of my saddest days! My father and mentor has returned to his Creator. SULTONUL WAHIZEEN of Yorubaland, Sheikh Muhyideen Ajani Bello, may Allah be pleased with your soul. Aljannah Firdaus for you. Our hearts are full of grief, and our eyes are full of tears, but we will say nothing except what pleases our Creator, the sole commander of life and death – ALLAH.”.
