As Nigerians face hardship over fuel, new naira notes scarcity and erratic power supply, youths in their numbers stormed the streets of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Friday, to protest.
The youths, armed with several placards, stormed major roads in the city on Friday morning to register their grievances.
The protest is already escalating as banks and business owners are beginning to shutdown to avoid being caught up in the crisis.
In areas like Iwo Road, Monatan, Agodi Gate, people were seen burning tyres, blocking the roads.
