The wife of Abba Kyari, a Deputy Police Commissioner (DCP) in Nigeria, who has been suspended over series of criminal offences allegedly involved in, ranging from money laundering to drug traffic, Ramatu, today slumped and fainted at the Federal High Court, Abuja.
A middle aged Ramatu, who is stated to be asthmatic, could not hold herself when Justice Emeka Nwite, presiding over her husband’s case deferred the ruling on applications that DCP Kyari and six other persons facing drug trafficking charge with him, filed to be released on bail pending the determination of the case against them.
The woman in a black hijab, fell on the floor while armed operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) were leading her husband, Abba Kyari and the others away from the court premises.
However, some men of NDLEA supported by some lawyers quickly came to her aid by carrying her into an office on the third floor of the court to resuscitate her.
