With Osun State recording its first case of Coronavirus, it is now confirmed that all the states in the South West Region of Nigeria have the deadly virus.
Information revealed that the region has the highest number of cases in the country.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Wednesday March 25, 2020, two new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: 1 in Lagos and 1 in Osun.
The Agency stated, “Both cases are returning travellers to Nigeria in the last seven days. As at 07:00 am 25th March, there are 46 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Nigeria. 2 have been discharged with 1 death”.
However, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu has confirmed that
the Speaker of the Edo state House of Assembly, Frank Okiye, has tested positive of Coronavirus.
