The deposed Emir of Kano, Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has cleared the air as regards the steps to take to reclaim his throne.
Sanusi equivocally pointed out that he would not go to court over the matter.
The dethroned Emir, in a trending video said that he has put the Kano emirship position behind him, stressing that he is not interested in going back to the palace as a monarch because he has chosen to move on in life.
Noting that his deposition was an act of God, Sanusi said, “I have done what I could in six years, I am moving on. The truth is that I don’t want to go back. So, frankly, the truth is that if I want to go back… The letter was so badly written, it was so unprofessionally done. It is the easiest thing to throw out. If I wanted to go to court, it’s simple, fair hearing, did you query him? Did you ask him to defend himself? Did you even call him to ask him any question? No! That’s all. But I think we should move on to a new phase in life”.
However, Southern Nigerians are sceptical about the deposition, saying that it may be a ploy by the Northerners to present Sanusi for presidency in 2023.
