Saudi Arabia has issued a COVID-19 Protocol that requires external pilgrims to obtain two doses of WHO-approved vaccine.
The second dose of the vaccine must be administered one week before arriving in the Kingdom.
This was contained in the Hajj 2021 (1442AH) Health Control Plan by the Saudi Ministry of Health.
According to the Ministry, intending pilgrims need to obtain a certified and negative test of the PCR test, 72 hours before their arrival and would be subjected to a mandatory quarantine, which will end after the negative result.
Pilgrims and workers are to wear tags and to ensure approved housing and mobility of at least one and a half meters between one and the other, as well as scheduling the flow of pilgrims into groups so that only 100 pilgrims per group would perform the rituals of Hajj, the Plan started.
Vulnerable groups and people below 18 and above 60 would not be permitted to perform the 2021 hajj, it added.
