President Yoweri Museveni has continued to clampdown on the members of the main opposition political party, the National Unity Platform (NUP), as it has been reported that the security operatives in Uganda have arrested and detained Kagimu Umar, one of the official printers of NUP.
According to information gathered, Umar is a young Ugandan printers who printed all the campaign posters and other materials used by NUP during campaign for 2021 general elections in Uganda.
It was stated that on Thursday January 21, 2021, armed operatives raided his shop at Nasser Road and violently arrested him and took him away. It has been rumoured that the young man is currently in a military cell at Mbuya military barrack.
Information revealed that the security operatives were moving in a minibus vehicle, with concealed private number plates.
