The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Education and Associated Institutions (NASU) have further extended their warning strike by one month.
The extension of the strike was contained in a circular dated April 21, 2022, signed by SSANU President, Mohammed Ibrahim, and NASU General Secretary, Peters Adeyemi and addressed to branch chairmen of NASU and SSANU in universities and inter-university centres titled, ‘Re: Commencement of two-week warning strike: Extension by One Month’.
The unions stated that “the Government has kept mute and remain indifferent to the demands of JAC of NASU and SSANU”.
