Ogun State Police command has arrested a 16 year old boy, Adeniyi Muhammed, for allegedly stealing fourteen different pairs of a woman’s underwears.
A statement issued by spokesman of the state command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, in Abeokuta says the suspect was arrested after Amudalat Opaleye, a resident of Kano street in Ayetoro, reported the incident.
Oyeyemi said the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Ayetoro, Mobolaji Jimoh ordered his detectives to the scene where the items were recovered from the suspect.
He noted that the suspect had confessed to the crime, claiming that he was sent to pick the underwears.
Oyeyemi said efforts were on to get his accomplice arrested.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, has directed that the suspect be transferred to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation.
