After so many drama, intrigues and confusions, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged as the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The keenly contested primary election saw some of the initially cleared contestants stepping down for Tinubu and the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo at the venue of the Party’s Convention.
At the end of the election, Tinubu polled 1, 271
He was followed by Rotimi Amaechi: 316 votes, Osinbajo: 235 votes and Senator Ahmad Lawan: 152 votes.
Others are Yahaya Bello: 47, Dave Umahi: 38, Ben Ayade: 37, Ahmed Sani: 4, Ogbonnaya Onu :1, Emeka Nwajiuba: 0, Ikeobasi Mokelu: 0, Tunde Bakare: 0.
With this outcome, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will face Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, Peter Obi of the Labour Party as well as the standard bearers of the other 15 registered political parties.
