Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has won the 2023 presidential election in Oyo State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) controlled state.
Tinubu, popularly called Jagaban won in the 33 local government areas declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC).
INEC Returning Officer, Prof Babatunde Olusola Kehinde, who announced the results at Dr. Mutiu Agboke Collation Centre in Ibadan on Monday, February 27, 2023 stated that Tinubu won in all the local government of the state.
The PDP Candidate, Atiku Abubakar’s defeat in the state cannot be dissociated from the love lost between him and Governor Seyi Makinde of the same party.
INEC will formally declare Tinubu the winner of the election today after announcing the results of the remaining local government.
