In continuation with consultation and familiarisation visits to the foremost traditional rulers in Nigeria, the National leader of the APC and 2023 presidential aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu today paid a visit to Alafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.
The purpose of the visit was to formally inform the foremost Yoruba monarch about his intention to succeed Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari, whose presidential tenure will lapse next year.
Speaking at Alaafin’s Palace, Tinubu stated that the essence of his visit is to seek the monarch’s royal blessings and endorsement for his presidential aspiration.
In his remarks, Oba Adeyemi was optimistic that the Yoruba ancestor would make Tinubu president of Republic of Nigeria in 2023.
Alaafin prayed, “We have given you our real prayers because you came first and my ancestors have heard this today. The desire of your heart come 2023 will be realized….”
