The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has declared Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the winner of the presidential election in Ekiti State.
In the result announced by the Ekiti State Returning Officer for INEC, Prof Akeem Lasisi, Tinubu polled 201,494 to beat his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s rival, Atiku Abubakar who scored 89,554.
Tinubu won in the 16 local government areas of the state.
Salami said, “Ekiti has a total of 988,923 registered voters, out of this, the number of accredited voters is 315,058. The total valid votes were 308,171, the number of rejected votes was 6,301 and the total votes cast, was 314,470. This is the final result of the presidential election in Ekiti State.”
