Nollywood has been thrown into mourning with the demise of two of their members, Obinna Nwafor, popularly known as Saint Obi and Olalekan Olatubosun Afolabi, popularly known as Murphy Afolabi, within a week.
Saint Obi is passed away at the age of 57 on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in Jos, Plateau State.
It was gathered that the actor died at the home of one of his siblings. According to sources, disagreement between his siblings is the reason his death took almost a week to be made known. The real cause of his demise has not been made known at the time of this report.
Saint Obi was very popular in the 1990s and early 2000s as he featured in over 100 movies.
Yoruba actor and movie producer, Murphy Afolabi, 49, died on Sunday, May 14, 2023, in his home at Ikorodu, Lagos State..
It was gathered that he died from injuries sustained when he fell in the bathroom.
Born on May 5, 1974, Afolabi got into the movie industry in 2001. The graduate of Ire Polytechnic, Osun State, appeared in over 60 movies before his death. His film credits include ‘Ifa Olokun’, ‘Omowunmi’, ‘Jimi Bendel’, ‘Wasila Coded’, ‘Olokiki Oru’, and ‘Idera’.
