Justice Inuwa Maiwada of Grade 1 Area Court in Karu, Abuja, has sentenced two brothers- Henry Zaka, 21 and Musa Zaka, 25 to six months in prison each for stealing two generators.
Maiwada, however, gave the accused an option of N30,000 fine each, and warned them to desist from committing crimes.
Th judge handed the verdict to the convicts after they pleaded guilty to a three-count charge of joint acts, criminal trespass and theft.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Vincent Osuji told the court that the offence contravened sections 80, 348 and 287 of the Penal Code Law.
