The taskforce of the University of Ibadan branch of the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT), has shown its commitment to the enforcement of the two week warning strike declared by its national body.
The taskforce headed by its chairman, Comrade Paul Yahaya, yesterday went round the institution’s premises to observe the level of compliance with the strike directive.
Yahaya was accompanied by the union’s treasurer, Secretary, and other members of the task force, who ensured that no laboratory, workshop, studio, farm, is opened in the university.
In a few remarks, Comrade Yahaya described the level of compliance to the warning strike by members of the union as satisfactory, saying that compliance is 100 percent.
He said that the taskforce would continue to monitor situation and ensure that no union member do contrary to the wishes of the National body.
NAAT national body declared a nationwide strike on Monday March 21, 2022 following the failure of the Federal Government to implement 2009 agreement reached with the union.
The Union vowed that it may declare a total, comprehensive and indefinite strike action at the expiration of two week warning strike if the Federal Government fails to accede its demand.
