The University of Ibadan (UI) has released a list of academic staff recently promoted to the professorial cadre.
According to a Bulletin No. 4780 signed by the institution’s Registrar/Secretary to Council, G. O. Saliu, the Appointments and Promotions Committee for Academic Staff approved the appointment of 25 lecturers to professorial cadre on Wednesday, July 2024.
The Bulletin revealed that while 14 lecturers were promoted to full professors, 17 were promoted to Readers.

Those promoted to full professors are Dr. Chiaka I. Anumudu (Zoology, 2019), Dr. Francesca C. Ukpokolo (Archaeology & Anthropology, 2020), Dr. A. A. Ojagbemi (Psychiatry, 2021), Dr. A. A. Oyagbemi (Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry, 2021), Dr. A. M. Alabi (Urban and Regional Planning, 2021), Dr. Temitope O. Lawal (Pharmaceutical Microbiology, 2021), and Dr. Titilola A. Adebowale (Social Work, 2022).
Others are Dr. G. L. Arueya (Food Technology, 2022), Dr. G. A. Adelodun (Special Education, 2022), Dr. Jacob Oludare Oluwadoro (Linguistics and African Languages, 2022), Dr. N. A.
