The Council of the University of Ibadan (UI), on Thursday, December 1, 2022, commenced the recruitment process for the appointment of a new registrar to replace the outgoing registrar, Olubunmi O. Faluyi, whose five year tenure expires on Monday, April 10, 2023.
According to a special release titled, “Appointment of Registrar”, signed by Faluyi, the Council of the Premier University announced that the position of Registrar will be vacant by Monday, April 10, 2023.
The release stated, “In accordance with the provisions of the University (Miscellaneous Provisions) Decree No. 11 of 1993 (as amended by Decree No. 25, 1996) and by the University (Miscellaneous) (Amendment) Act, 2003 and 2012 respectively, and in exercise of its power as contained therein, the Governing Council wishes to commence the process of filling the impending vacancy.”
The Council invited applications from qualified individuals with 15 years of cognate experience. The interested candidates must possess a higher degree.
Interested candidates are expected to submit applications within six weeks, presumably, on or before Thursday, January 12, 2023.
