The Nigerian High Commissioner in charge of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji Islands, Papua New Guinea, Vanatu, and the Pacifics, Ambassador Anderson N. Madubike was on a courtesy visit to the University of Ibadan (UI).
He was received on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Professor Ezekiel Olusola Ayoola.
Ambassador Madubike said his visit was to encourage students/lecturers’ exchange programmes between UI and Australian universities, stressing that there are many opportunities to be explored in Australia.
He also revealed that a special delegation from Australia would visit the University of Ibadan, the University of Lagos, and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in October 2023, to further explore opportunities for collaboration and partnerships.
In his reaction, Professor Ayoola assured the Visitor that UI is always ready to collaborate with other universities.
He said the present management of the nation’s Premier University is building upon the achievements of the past administrations to lay a solid foundation for the future of the University.
