According to the information gathered, the new tuition fees will take effect from the next academic session.

Among the universities that have increased their tuition fees by about 200 per cent are Federal University, Dutse, University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), Federal University, Lafia, (FULafia), University of Uyo (UNIUYO) and Michael Okpara the University of Agriculture, Umudike.
PrimeStar News gathered that the institution’s management is currently seeking the input of the major stakeholders regarding the review.
As of the time of filing this report, the institution’s College of Medicine has informed its students that the tuition fees they are currently paying could not sustain their medical training, stressing that the fees have to go up.
The Provost of the College, Professor Olayinka Omigbodun recently revealed that the annual training fee for medical students is N145,000, saying that lecturers have to support their students from the little they earn.
She said, “The training fees need to be reviewed. Students have to pay what is decent for training.”
