A veteran Yoruba actress and member of Nollywood, Toyin Oladiran, popularly known as Abeni Agbon has appealed to Nigerians home abroad to assist her financially, saying that she needs money to start foodstuff business.
A skit maker, Akinyoola Ayoola popularly known as Kamo ran a live programme where he featured the legendary Yoruba actress where he solicited funds for her.
On the social media programme, Abeni Agbon, who has 40 years of acting experience said that she has a shop in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State but needs money to stock the shop.

She said, “I am here to beg my fans at home and abroad to help me. I don’t need a car because I will not be able to maintain it. I don’t need a house because God has given me a small house where I am living. What I need is money that I can use to buy different types of foodstuff that I can sell in my shop. Once I have a functioning shop, if I am not in any movie location, I will be in my shop selling. Please, help me with the food that I will be eating till the end of my life.”
She also revealed that casts are not being paid well, saying the highest professional fees she received is N300, 000.
However, Abeni Agbon’s fans have started contributing money for her.
