Veteran Yoruba Actress, Grace Oyin-Adejobi alias Iya Osogbo, has stated that most of the actresses that play nude roles do so because that is what their audience look out for.
Iya Osogbo stated this yesterday while featuring on a radio magazine programme on an Ibadan based Space 90.1FM, Parrot Xtra Hour on Radio, anchored by the Publisher of Parrot Extra Magazine, Olayinka Agboola.
The veteran actress will be 90 on Sunday August 23, 2020.
She warned the ladies against immorality saying, “Ladies should keep themselves from their tender age. They should dignify their bodies and not misuse it. They should be focused and hardworking. If you are arrogant because you are fine and you are flaunting your God given gifts, then you will regret it at the end. This does not exclude males too. Immorality will eventually tell on your body”.
She added that though audiences encourage actresses to be nude in movies, an actress that come from a good home and who is well trained would resist appearing nude on movies.
She stated further, “During our own time, dressing anyhow was not allowed. In fact, our parents did not even like us to go into theatre or entertainment industry because they think that entertainment industry is meant for loose people. They thought that lazy people go into entertainment. Our parents did not know that actresses and actors are preachers. Our children in entertainment should face their work. If a lady is not jumping from one bed to the other, she will end it well”.
Speaking on the odds of her life, she said that she was really hit by the death of her husband, late Oyin-Adejobi and her fourth child, a female, stressing that it took her long before she could move on when these two memorable incidents happened to her.
She also said that she has stopped acting because of old age.
