An Ijebu born popular crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, who was jailed for abusing Nigerian currency has been released from Kirikiri prison, where he served his jail term.
It will be recalled that Okuneye was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on four counts bordering on naira abuse, the charges he pleaded guilty before Justice A.O. Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Lagos.
Subsequently, on April 5, Justice Awogboro found him guilty and convicted him to six months imprisonment without option of fine.
Bobrisky was released on Monday, August 5, 2024.
In a trending video on the social media, Bobrisky, who dressed in female attire with heavy make-up was seen in video with friends, vibing to Mohbad’s and Chike’s Egwu song.
His friends were quoted saying, ‘we are out of prison. Congratulation Bobrisky.”
