Some people have allegedly broken into a COVID-19 Palliative Warehouse in Akobo, Ibadan, capital of Oyo State in the early hours of today, October 23, 2020 and carted away some COVID-19 palliatives they found in the facility.
According to them, the COVID-19 palliative was meant to be shared to Nigerians during the lockdown and was allegedly hidden in the warehouse.
Video clips show people storming the warehouse and taking out bags of rice which some say were being repackaged for other purposes.
It was, however, gathered that security operatives are reportedly storming houses in the area to retrieve item stolen from the warehouse.
In another development, a COVID-19 warehouse in Ede, Osun State, filled with palliatives, have been looted.
It would be recalled that a similar incidence occurred on Thursday, October 22, 2020, when a warehouse where COVID-19 palliatives are kept at Maza Maza in Amuwo Odofin Local Govt Area was looted and COVID-19 palliatives items were carted away.
