George Perry Floyd Jr, who was killed by Police in the United States of America, has been laid to rest beside his mother, Larcenia Floyd, following weeks of public outrage against his death.
He was buried amidst tears and sweet words during his funeral, which was live-streamed by several media outlets.
Guests flooded the 2,000-seat Fountain of Praise church, Houston, for the two-hour funeral – even though the church was limited to a 500 guest list as a precaution during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
After the church service, Floyd’s gold coffin was taken to the Houston Memorial Gardens, where he was buried alongside his mother.
The body of George Floyd arrived at Houston's Fountains of Praise church Monday for a public viewing, followed by funeral services and burial Tuesday in suburban Pearland, Texas. He will be laid to rest next to his mother, Larcenia Floyd.https://t.co/fALtcgbAIY pic.twitter.com/QRQ6PemSpS
