The body of former Beauty queen and wife of Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, the head pastor of Trinity House Church, Pastor Ibidunni Olajumoke Ituah-Ighodalo was laid to rest today, June 20, 2020 after a funeral service at the Church.
The two hour long service had only a few family and friends present due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The service was, however, beamed live on the social media, which allowed thousands who would not have had the opportunity to attend the funeral from all over the world, to partake in saying a final good bye to the woman who touched many lives.
In attendance at the funeral service were the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akaredolu, and the deposed Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
One of the touching moments was the special rendition by Ibidun’s daughter, Keke Ighodalo, who sang along side gospel artiste, Nathaniel Bassey.
Also, her brother-in-law, Asue Ighodale gave a very touching tribute/vote of thanks where he called the late queen ‘his twin’ as they shared the same birthday, though different years.
He disclosed that Ibidun’s mother had planned to present her a house as a gift for her 40th birthday, which would have been on July 19, 2020.
Ibidun passed away in the early hours of Sunday, June 14, 2020 in her hotel room in Port Harcourt, where she had gone to set up a COVID-19 Isolation Centre for the state government.
She was the founder of Elizabeth R PR and Events Company, and Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation, which helps families to conceive through IVF.
