Residents of Akungba Akoko in Ondo State could not hold back tears as a truck conveying cements lost control and ram into shops leading to the death of many people on Saturday, January 23, 2021.
The accident occurred around 6pm a few metres away from the main gate of the Adekunle Ajasin University.
It was gathered that the truck which was coming from Ikare town lost control and rammed into some set of shops along the road.
The number of casualties involved in the tragic accident was yet to be ascertained, as the time of filing this report. However, no fewer than five bodies had been recovered from under the truck.
According to a source, this accident is about the 7th to have occurred on the same road in the last 2 months.
