The Staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun the sorting and counting of the vote cast today at the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly Elections.
At the time of filing this report, results in many polling units across the country have been declared.
The presidential candidates of All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abubakar Atiku and Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi are the leading candidates in the election for now.
As the results are trickling in, no candidate among Tinubu, Obi and Atiku is sure of succeeding the outgoing president, Muhammadu Buhari.
However, INEC has cancelled the elections in polling units across the country due to various reasons ranging from violence to malpractices.
