Mrs. Arese Carrington has announced the death of her husband, Walter C. Carrington, a former Ambassador of United States of America (USA) to Nigeria and Senegal.
According to a Press Statement sent to Punch, the diplomat died at 90 on Tuesday August 11, 2020.
The statement reads, “He passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 90 years old on Tuesday, August 11th, 2020″.
“It is with a heavy and broken heart but with gratitude to God for his life of selfless humanity that I announce the passing of my beloved husband Walter Carrington, former U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria and Senegal”, the statement explained.
She described her husband as a loving husband, father, grandfather, cousin, uncle, friend and in-law adding, “Walter was fortunate, his life had both length and depth”.
