The wife of Ondo state governor, Mrs Betty Akeredolu, has tested positive for COVID-19.
A government official who confirmed this to Tribune said, “The samples of the First Lady which was collected two days ago and one of the security aides of the governor returned positive this morning.”
The official further stated that the First Lady has embarked on self-isolation, saying, “We are still awaiting the results of some media aides of the governors and some commissioners who interact with the state governor regularly.”
It will be recalled that Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 announced that he had tested positive for the virus and has proceeded on self-isolation.
