A veteran Nollywood actor, Ganiyu Oyeyemi popularly known as Ogunjimi, born in 1956, died at age 68 on Friday, April 26, 2024, and he has been buried in his Osogbo residence.
A notable Yoruba actor, Kunle Afod announced the death of Ogunjimi in a post on his Instagram page.
Mourning the actor, Afod wrote, “We tried our best but God loves you more. May his soul rest in peace. Baba Ogunjinmi, RIP, Sun re oooo.”
Speaking on the death of the actor, his son, Ahmed Ogunwale Oyeyemi revealed that his father was sick for about one and half month, stressing that the family tried their best to save his life.
He said, “My father has been sick for one and a half months. We tried our best but God has destined it that he would die today. We spent so much money in the hospital.
