Millions of Yoruba ethnic individuals stormed the streets of Akure, capital of Ondo State and peacefully demand for the carving out of Yoruba Nation from her parent body, Nigeria.
The noted that they shall peacefully, logically and intellectually achieve their independence without violence, bloodshed.
A statement from the Ilana Omo Oodua media said, “Yoruba Patriots have started moving around Akure, the capital city of Ondo State, demanding for the independence of Yoruba Nation from Nigeria”.
One of the agitators, Ifa Funsho said, “There’s nothing wrong in self determination. Everyone has right to self determination. Self determination isn’t a crime under any law. It’s our right. Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas. Souths has right to self determination. If Norway of 5million can have their Nation. Yoruba 50million can”.
Notable among the agitators of Yoruba are women who only tied wrappers, without blouses and masquerades, who were making different display for entertainment.
The Yoruba Nation agitators were armed with different posters and banners with different inscriptions saying that self determination of any group is a fundamental human rights.
The agitators displayed both national flag and international passport.
