Following a well planned bloody attack on the house of Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho around 1am on July I, 2021 by soldiers and men of the Directorate of State Security (DSS), where five persons were claimed to have been killed, Sunday Igboho has cancelled the planned July 3 Lagos rally to mobilise for the actualisation of the creation of Yoruba Nation.
Igboho disclosed to BBC that he cancelled the rally because of safety precautions, since he is no longer safe.
He expressed shock over the attempt by the Federal Government to kill him, saying that all his activities in the country have been within the ambit of the law.
Sunday Igboho has been the target of the Federal Government led All Progress Congress (APC) government since he began the agitation for the creation of Yoruba Nation.
President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed that he would clampdown on individual or group of individuals pushing for the breaking of Nigeria, despite his failure to run a government that is acceptable to the majority of Nigerians, particularly, the southerners.
