Seven policemen were ambushed and killed by suspected bandits on Monday November 8, 2021, while their patrol vehicle was set ablaze on Tofa-Magami Road area in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to information gathered, the incident occurred at about 6:00 p.m. when the policemen were on patrol in the area.
The bandits, who were in large numbers, engaged the police operatives in a gun battle in which seven of them were killed.
Confirming the incidence, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Yarima Bakura Specialist Hospital in Gusau, Awwal Ruwan-Doruwa, stated that the bodies of the seven slain policemen were brought to the hospital.
