Beggars in Ibadan have continued to flout the order of the Oyo State Government as they have continued to escape from the Akinyele Resettlement Centre created for them to head back to the streets to beg for alms.
The beggars, mainly from the Northern part of the country were sighted in different parts of Ibadan, capital of Oyo State, including Akobo-Ojurin, Ojoo, Mokola Area, begging motorists and other people for alms.
A lot of the beggars could be sighted at Akobo-Ojurin, with the numbers increasing on a daily basis.
Some of these beggars were seen harassing private motorists and pedestrians to give them money.
It would be recalled that on Tuesday June 15, 2021, the Oyo State Government began the evacuation of beggars from some parts of Ibadan, capital of Oyo State to the Resettlement Centre.
