Nigeria Army has claimed that in the month of May, at different operations in the North, it has killed 35 members of the Islamic State in West Africa (ISWAP), otherwise known as Boko Haram, while others escaped with gunshot injuries.
According to a statement posted on Twitter and Facebook, the items recovered from them are: 4 x BHTs Gun trucks, 13 AK 47 rifles, 1 x Anti-Aircraft Gun, 139 x Rounds of 7.62 mm Special Ammunition, 250 x rounds of 12.7 mm AA Ammunitions, 11 x magazines, 4 x 36 hand grenades, 1 x LG3 Bomb, 2 x Cartridges, 2 x motorcycles and 23 x bicycles.
Others include: 1x dane gun, 2 x pushcarts, 3x BHTs Flags, 1 x BHTs’ uniform, 1x lister grinding machine, 1 x 2GB memory card, 1 x flash drive, 2 x techno cell phones, 10 x litres of PMS, 1 x solar panel charger and Clothings and assorted food items.
Men of the Nigeria Army stated to have carried out the series of operations that recorded this huge success are from 7 Division and Sector 1 Operation LAFIYA DOLE (OPLD), Army Super Camps 6 and 7, Strong Response Area (SRA) Pulka and Gajigana, 192 Battalion, 7 Division Garrison, 195, 212 Battalions, 22 Brigade, specifically, 81 Division Task Force Battalion and 153 Task Force Battalion, 202 Battalion and 21 Special Armoured Brigade Garrison Bama.
