Nigerians condemn Ojudu for assassinating Igboho's character

Sunday Igboho and Senator Babafemi Ojudu

Ebun Olowu

The revelations of the top secret between the National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho, bothering on the 2019 Governorship Election in Ekiti by Senator Babafemi Ojudu, has been attracting reactions and condemnations.

Babafemi Ojudu, is a Nigerian journalist, who was elected Senator for the Ekiti Central constituency of Ekiti State, and currently a special adviser to the president on political matters

In a Facebook post, Ojudu revealed how Tinubu had used him to invite Sunday Igboho to Akure in Ondo State, where he bought him over from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and made him to betray the PDP by not executing the contractual agreement between him and PDP after he has been handsomely paid for the work.

In a swift reaction, Sunday Igboho said, “I don’t know Ojudu. Ojudu is a liar. I was not trained by Baba Adedibu. Senator Ladoja is my boss and I have never betrayed him”.

He, however, challenged Ojudu to bring evidence of his claims in his write up where he said he was hired as a political thug.

Denying Ojudu’s claims, Sunday Igboho said, “Let him use his children to swear that such a thing happened. It is a plot to distract me and give me a bad name. I never collected money from politicians to do this, and it is painful that politicians are conniving with Fulani to distract us but I will never be distracted”.

Reacting, a popular security expert and political analyst in Osun State, Akin Adeyi, in a short piece condemned Ojudu for allowing himself to be used for dirty job saying, “Ojudu regrettably allowed for himself to be used in the difficult and dirty job, which he should have advised the hater of Igboho, who gave him the job to contract to some toddler writers and not himself. Pity is my only word for him”.

Adeyi said, “In his poorly disguised desperate attempt to destroy Igboho, Ojudu ended up destroying himself. He ended up making those who may have had certain sensitive things to do with him in the past and those that are currently having secret things to do with him or contemplating a future dealings with him to know he is not a reliable character when it comes to keeping their secrets secret. Shame betide him. Not even the Igboho he was trying to destroy will condescend so low to spew out such rubbish to the public.

“Lest Ojudu know, unlike him, Igboho as a known mercenary must have had quite a lot of secret dealings with men and women in high places, even government and which he never come out to reveal any of it to the public as did Ojudu in this case. So and by implications he was not educated though and to Ojudu’s benchmark yet, he is more disciplined, reliable, dependable even wiser than Ojudu.

“It takes great ability and self discipline which Babafemi Ojudu is grossly lacking in this case to keep some secrets secrets.

“Besides, what’s new in this Ojudu’s news? That Igboho was a thug? Ehn..hen, and so fuxxxxng what? Has the man Sunday ever pretended he wasn’t? That he didn’t go to school? Has he ever lied that he was a product of Government College, Ibadan and or Toronto University? In fact, some of the things Ojudu said rather than achieve for him the painting of Igboho bad ended up raising our perception of him as more intelligent in the whole story.

According to Ojudu, Tinubu sought and got Sunday Igboho’s neutrality in that election.

“Tinubu, right now and wherever he may be should know that he shouldn’t  have anything reasonable to do with the man Ojudu again. He should be wary of  a man who couldn’t keep their secrets secret.

“Whereas Igboho, according to Ojudu’s account, asked him (Ojudu’s) if he could keep a secret and to which he assured him in the affirmative. But here we are after how many years that Ojudu is sharing the same secrets he promised to keep with millions of people on social media. Ha! Ojudu ti dale Osa and we will sing for him;

Okete bayi ni iwa re…
Okete o bayi ni iwa re ooo
O ba’fa mule
O da ifa
O ba’fa mule
O da Ifa o.
Ojodu bayi ni iwa re…
